The Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute are historical interpreters of the Colonial Period, more specifically for the American Revolution around 1775 in the locale of Sudbury, Massachusetts. The modern-day Sudbury Companies of Militia and Minute seek to preserve the American heritage and educate the public through reenactments, performances, speaker events, a monthly muster, a Colonial Faire, parades, and other educational, fun events. The group was formed in 1964 by several Sudbury residents as a pastime and to celebrate American Heritage. And we continue to flourish hosting and taking part in many events annually.
While you may see us reenacting or speaking at many one-time public events, the Companies annually sponsor the following events:

May 26, 2025 Memorial Day Parade, Sudbury Salute to all those who sacrificed their lives so that we may enjoy freedom. For more information, contact John Neuhauser, ltcolonel@sudburyminutemen.org. Assemble behind Sudbury Town Hall at 7:00 am, fire salutes at Revolutionary War Cemetery at 7:30 am, then board bus at 8:00 am for trips to Old and New North Cemeteries. Bus will bring everyone back to the parking lot for more powder or to recover cars to drive to the parade starting point at Rugged Bear Plaza. The bus will take those who need a ride to Rugged Bear for start of parade. 9:15 am, Rugged Bear Plaza, Rt. 20, Sudbury. Parade steps off at 9:30 am. Bring a full box of rounds and then some (20 cartridges). Parade ends a short walk away from the school parking lot near Sudbury Town Hall. Bus will be available for return to Rugged Bear Plaza.

June 2, 2025 June Muster Robert Hubbard will speak to us about General Israel Putnam and the Battle of Bunker Hill. 7:30 pm in the Ballroom at the Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA.
